Partner Schools: Building Together for a Brighter Future

Partner Schools

Partner Schools are constructed through partnerships with landowners, organizations, or church groups. These partnerships are formalized through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) or partnership agreements. The land for these schools is deeded to the property owner, not to CAN.

In this model, the property owner is responsible for the financial resources required for the construction and for ensuring the long-term sustainability of the school. CAN provides support through partnerships by offering school supplies, buses, library setups, science labs, and technical assistance for a limited period, on a pro bono basis.

While the responsibility for the school's operations lies with the property owner, CAN may agree to operate and fundraise for the school if a clear agreement is made. In such cases, CAN is granted the authority to implement its school system model and oversee fundraising efforts to ensure the school's sustainability.

CAN Operated Schools Program

The Change Agent Network (CAN) builds and operates schools in Liberia. Its goal is to provide quality education that breaks the cycle of poverty and fosters faith-based leadership. CAN's Schools are designed to uplift entire communities by offering access to academic excellence, compassionate service, and servant leadership rooted in Christ.

Mission:

To transform communities by providing access to quality education, faith, and economic opportunities. CAN's Schools are committed to educating both the head and the heart, equipping students with the knowledge to make a living and the moral and spiritual foundation to live well and serve others.

CAN’s Role in Partner Schools

  • Provision of school supplies, buses, library setups, and science labs.

  • Offering professional and technical support on a pro bono basis for a certain period.

  • CAN may take on full operational responsibilities, including fundraising, if authorized to do so by the property owner.

Shared Vision:

The mission of CAN is to break the cycle of poverty through education, faith, and economic freedom. Both CAN’s Schools and Partner Schools align with this vision, contributing to the holistic development of Liberia’s youth. By working together with like-minded individuals and organizations, CAN creates lasting change, helping communities build a brighter future.

Whether through fully owned and operated CAN Schools or through partnerships with other entities, CAN is committed to making a lasting impact on Liberia’s educational landscape. Together, these schools form a network of opportunity, hope, and empowerment for children across the country.

Vision:

To combat the darkness of the mind by fostering independent thinking, creativity, and innovation while fighting the darkness of the soul by instilling in students a strong foundation of faith in Christ. CAN envision a future where Liberia's youth are empowered with education and faith to build better lives and communities.
